This is one of my photos from the fall of 2015 when my wife and I took a vacation to Chicago. Two years before we were here and I photographed this same picture, but at the time, all I had was a point and shoot camera. The highlights were blown out and the shadows were too dark and nothing I could do to correct in post processing. Needless to say, I was excited to return to Graue Mill in the suburbs of Chicago with an opportunity to photograph this old and historic Mill once again. This time with my new Pentax DSLR and much more experience in photography and post processing. This time I captured in Raw and darkened the highlights and increased the shadows in Lightroom and got the photo I wanted a couple years before.

Crazy Sky
This being my first post here on WordPress, I wanted to share a recent HDR photo I captured west of Phoenix, AZ of one of my favorite subjects, a Saguaro cactus. I love all the different shapes and sizes of the Saguaro, no two are alike. Then give me a dramatic sky and I am one happy photographer.
